Managing publications
Your publication list lives under Publications in the sidebar. It's built automatically from your linked profiles, but you can also manage it by hand.

Automatic aggregation
If you've linked your OpenAlex profile, your publications are imported and kept up to date automatically — including citation counts that feed your AI profile.
Click Update from OpenAlex to refresh your list on demand (for example, right after a new paper lands).
Adding a publication manually
Missing something? Click Add Publication:
- Search by DOI — the fastest way. Paste the DOI and the details (title, authors, journal, date) are filled in for you.
- Manual entry — for works without a DOI, enter the details yourself.
Removing a publication
If an imported publication isn't yours (name collisions happen on large indexes), you can remove it from your list. Removing a publication only affects your ResearchConnectX profile — it doesn't change the source platform.
Why it matters
Publications are a major input to the AI matching engine. A complete, accurate list means more relevant projects, conferences and surveys in your Smart Matches.
